Is God calling you to explore community? Are you wanting a change of lifestyle? Are you flexible and open to new ways of being?

Would you like to use your workplace skills in a different context or turn a spare time interest into something more?

We're looking for people with practical skills to join our community and help us welcome guests, prepare simple meals and meet the challenges of a busy retreat house. Please do contact us with any queries or if you are interested.

Food is a large part of what we offer and we aim for a  high standard of home cooking.......food prepared with love! We're looking for someone who would enjoy cooking for small groups and residential guests. You don't need to be a Mary Berry but we do have an Aga and a few of her books!

We have recently enlarged our allotment and are in the process of creating additional raised beds and seating and there is a sizeable garden to maintain and develop. You may not have a horticultural qualification but what you can bring is a lively interest and willingness to learn. We have a longer term project which will be to create a contemplative garden with small lake or pond, together with the reshaping of an ancient cider apple orchard. This would suit someone who wants a challenge and who can both see and help to realise the potential of the land.

A large Devon farmhouse has its fair share of basic repairs and maintenance, we always appreciate having someone with good DIY skills who can chop logs and keep the home fires burning!

The community house is a newly refurbished barn development with wifi and tv, its own cooking facilities and lounge to relax in. There is also parking available for a car.

These are not salaried positions, but a small allowance is paid in addition to food and accommodation. These opportunities would work particularly well for those who have a house to rent or who have a desire to explore simpler living. It could suit a couple or a single person.

We also occasionally have opportunities for volunteers to come and stay, working part-time for food and board. Please contact us for more information and speak with Jane.

If you feel you could fulfil any of the above roles or would like more details about joining our community or volunteering with us, please click HERE to contact Jane.
